Ian Scully's*, the principal agent of Culture Films LLC, film series - Legacy: Austria's Influence on American Skiing is a three-part (four hour) series that captures the essence of why Austrian skiers came to the Americas, and how the Austrian alpine culture that they brought with them influenced the development of the entire American ski world. Part I of the Legacy series - Hannes Schneider & His Disciples was spotlighted at the St. Anton (Austria) Film Festival and awarded the Media Prize by the International Ski History Association. And, the series has been broadcast in the United States by numerous PBS stations, Plum TV in Aspen, Sun Valley and Vail, and Outside Television, and in Austria by Austrian National Television (ORF).
His latest Agriculture Films (seven in all), focus primarily on local, organic, agricultural education from a historical as well as contemporary perspective.
*Ian Scully is a tri-lingual (English, German and Spanish) global citizen with: a B.A. in International Relations/Latin American Studies, M.Ed. in International Education, and M.B.A., plus years of experience in international business, education, social documentary work, and farming. (Ian is also an avid backcountry and top-level certified Professional Ski Instructor of America (P.S.I.A.), who has taught at Cannon Mt., N.H., Sugarbush, VT., and Los Alamos and Taos, N.M. ski schools).
